The player pool is limited to players selected and signed in the 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft. The draft is 10 rounds and draft order for each round (accounting for traded picks) is live on Proboards. Each team will have 6 hours to pick, with a 4 hour clock pause between 0200 and 0600 EST (so that the overnight pick is 10 hours long).
A team that misses its pick in a round will be allowed to make the pick at any time until the end of the round, at which time the Commissioner will assign he highest rated player listed in the Baseball America Amateur Draft rankings published preceding the MLB Amateur Draft to the skipped pick.
After the JBL AMAT Draft is completed, GMs will have the option of adding any player drafted and signed by their respective MLB home team organization during the recent MLB Amateur Draft (e.g. only from the current-season draft) and not picked in the Juiced Ball League AMAT Draft to their minor league system. This is similar to the initial “Franchise Fill” period, except that players eligible are only those drafted in the most recent real-life Amateur Draft.
After the conclusion of the AMAT Draft, Teams will have one week to make the appropriate space on their 60-man minor league roster for the drafted players and any undrafted players from its MLB home team organization. Even if a team drafts a player, they do NOT need to add them to their minor league roster. If they are not added after the deadline then they are placed on minor league waivers.
