MIN Reasons:
I end up w/ a cheap, short-term below avg SS (who was on waivers) + 6th rd pick + Tex SP prospect Michael Matuella. This gives me a low budget SS, frees up some cap room a couple years sooner than originally and allows me to remove Santana's salary (21-22T) from my paid minors. Like Vogelbach but the signing of Healy this off-season says a lot about the Mariner's direction. (tho Vogelbach's best path to the Majors is at DH). Again, this is solely about cap + prospects/picks.

I'm higher on Vogelbach then I used to be, a strong showing this spring hopefully leads to some prodiction this season if he gets the chance, and I'm digging the improved "launch angle". Danny Santana is another guy having a hot spring and only 27 and though longterm contract he's locked in at 600,000 hr can be a useful UTL. I liked riddle but he feels like a stopgap and is recovering from shoulder surgery, Matuella is a nice prospect but has injury concerns

+5 SEA Vog is a solid prospect especially in this league. And Riddle was just signed as an FA by SEA so min could of signed him if he wanted

+10 Seattle. Vogelbach is the by far the most valuable piece of the trade. His strong spring training might force a platoon

Actually I couldn't have signed Riddle as I was not in the league at the time

+5 MIN
I'll give this one to Minnesota, Matuella is the best player in this deal, everyone else is meh. Yes even Vogelbach, sorry a good spring doesn't make me a believer in a player, plus he's at a crowded position on MIN's roster. Matuella still has an electric fastball and a great curve and his change is coming along, last year he was finally healthy and he looked good, fingers crossed because I like him. Good buy low while still getting a utility MI.

Even IMO - I still have no idea what to make of Vogelbach, but he's as close to the big leagues as prospects come so Seattle won't need to wait long to find out if he's a legit prospect. Matuella certainly has the highest upside of anyone in this deal, but health is the big question with pretty much all pitching prospects, and for him especially so.
