San Diego trades: Joe Musgrove $8M 2022 Giancarlo Stanton $29.5M 2022 Salary coverage for Stanton (29.5 minus $15,251,922 covered by CHC = $14,248,078)
Tampa Bay trades: Mike Vasil Deyvison de los Santos
I find myself unexpectedly in first place in my division, so deciding to make the most of it. I think the price of a couple good prospects who are still years away is worth it for two difference makers like Musgrove and Stanton, who can help me make the playoffs and give me a shot to go deeper.

I was hoping to stay close to .500 early on and make a push late with a healthy Tatis, but it’s just not going that way for me this year. Deyvison De Los Santos is a high upside guy I wanted in the Milfa draft, but he didn’t fall to me. Vasil looks to have the velo, and strike throwing ability, to have some upside as well. Going into 2023 I have a lot of work to do with my roster, and boosting the farm like this is a good start.

+10 TB. I like this deal. Couple good upside prospects for 2 major contributors. I give TB the edge because I love Stanton lol.

+30 Tampa
That’s two pretty big stars for a top 200 prospect and maybe a top 300 guy. I’m guessing there just may not have been many offers made to choose from.

+20 TB.
I'm higher on Vasil then most, I like his command and his ability to miss bats. I think he has a chance to be a mid rotation guy, the problem is that he was bought high. I think there could have been more to had.
Musgrove is gooooood.
