Cubs send Howie Kendrick, $3.8 MM Rogelio Armenteros, HOU 3rd rd Milfa pick
Giants send Shin-soo Choo, $6 MM (cover $2.8 MM) Christian Arroyo, $0.6 MM
This provided a good opportunity for me to trade a little bit of future potential for MLB level production

Accept. We get a little younger with Kendrick instead of Choo and with no salary loss get some pieces for the future. This also helps me clear space for the Rule V Draft

No issue with this one...Choo's better short-term than Kendrick (especially at similar price), not a big fan of Arroyo in this format though and Armenteros has good minor league numbers to this point.

Good trade. Arroyo is a great pick up.

+10 Giants (would be +15 Giants if not for covering $2.8MM of Choo's salary)
Being from Houston, I hear a little from time to time regarding Stros prospects. Armenteros, is a solid, albeit unspectacular, type rotation guy. I took a quick glance at stats and saw he did very well against AA and AAA hitters last season at 23 years old, so that's very encouraging. I feel like there's a 50/50 shot he becomes a solid #4 - that was once Kyle Hendricks' forecast too by the way (not a comp).
Howie's probably a salary move, no comment here - but hey, he did well in his limited PT last year, so who knows. The 3rd pick is also a nice addition.
Choo, once a top-25 fantasy asset, is far removed from his glory days but he can still draw walks like nobody's business.
Arroyo may be high on many team rankings but I think that's more of an indictment against the Giants farm than a testament to Arroyo's ceiling. Dude's a decent real-life infield prospect but light-hitting infielders aren't exactly unicorns either. He's just not much of a fantasy prospect - he'll likely hurt you in probably 4 categories: HR, R or RBI, SB, and SLG. I feel like the 3rd pick could come close to netting a similarly-good fantasy spec.
Overall, good move for the Giants. Rogelio, I think, has more fantasy upside than any other guy in the deal - but maybe not in 2018.

Trade processed in spreadsheet only. Fantrax needs to be renewed before I can perform transactions.
