Rangers agree. Eavoldi is depth for me and unfortunately he is pretty injury prone. You can't deny the velocity, but I need some more consistent depth and I have failed at that early this season. Lackey has yet to find a home and my mainstays from last year have been struggling. Eavoldi when healthy is one of the harder throwers in the game and can be real good when he is on. Barnhart has been my starting catcher and when I signed him, I thought he would be a great backup and he has been that. He's a real good defensive catcher, but that doesn't have much value in fantasy. Hes an average to below average starting catcher in this league.

I receive Ronnie Dawson and Austin Franklin in return. Ronnie Dawson is really intriguing to me. Power and speed combination and in a system where they develop position players really well. He has been walking this year, but the K's have me worried, but I like him overall. Austin Franklin is the guy I originally traded Woods last year for Jesse Winker and Adam Duvall. It all comes full circle here. I'm a big believer in Franklin. The size, fastball, breaking ball and he is with the Rays! Maldonaldo was kind of a throw in, but he is now my backup catcher.

Overall, I like the return. Tough to move on from Barnhart, but getting Dawson and Franklin is solid for me.
