RP Heath Hembree $600,000 2018
Toronto Reason: To be honest, I am not prepared for the amateur draft and know very little about selecting players who were just drafted so this is one way to alleviate an extra decision I have to make. The main point though is I figured this was a cheap way to upgrade my bullpen for next year (and potentially the year after), when I plan to compete, with a pitcher in a good situation who has been pitching well. It was originally going to be Hughes for the pick, but Texas needs Hembree to meet the RP start quota. Lastly, my farm is very full at the moment so I am already going to have to make some difficult decisions post amateur draft.
Side note: I will be posting a list of minor league players I am open to trading (hopefully) soon so keep an eye out for that if you are interested.
Really easy to work out a trade with Joe. He posted what he wanted and I was able to give it to him.
