Rays deal
RP Ryan Madson $2,500,000 (2018) - salary retained

Nationals deal
MiLFA 4th round pick

Reasoning: Was originally looking for an AMAT pick but feel I probably did better in the MiLFA draft than in the middle rounds of the AMAT draft last year so I was fine holding off the pick till then. Madson will give Nats holds down the stretch, wasn't of any use to me as a rental. With my recent cap space opening up I could afford to retain salary for the rest of the year.

As Hasan said, I am getting some holds, which I desperately need. By retaining the salary it seemed a plus for both of us as I have so little money. I wanted to give an AMAT pick but realized two were previously traded.
