Atlanta trades: Brad Miller 11 mil 2020-21P (5.5 million retained in 2018 and 7 mil retained for 2019-2020 and 2021 if the player's option is exercised) and Shaun Anderson RP SF - prospect Texas trades: Cole Hamels 8 mil 2020 Why ATL did this: I need an extra SP for the playoff and I believe Cole Hamels will help me. He has a good K/9, his xFIP is better than his ERA and he is now playing for a very good team. Good working with you, Joe. It's becoming a trend

Texas accepts.
Brad Miller being in the deal is a whatever, I think he will be picked up elsewhere and be a mediocre player. 4 million a year after this year, it's about what an average to below average player gets. The main reason for this deal for me is Shaun Anderson. His ERA, FIP, XFIP are all good, expecting him to be a 3 or 4 stRyer in the bigs, just like Kopby Allard.
Good working with you Mihai.
