Mets trade: -Brandon Nimmo, OF, NYM
Mariners trade: -Ryan Mountcastle, 3B, BAL -Tirso Ornelas, OF, SD -2019 AMAT Draft Pick 2.20
I wasn't looking to trade Nimmo, but Robin has been after him for awhile and I'm pleased with the return. Similar to the Cubs trade, Seattle gets another OBP monster. I think Mountcastle should get time in the majors this year and while he doesn't get as many walks as Nimmo, but I think he could develop into a better hitter in terms of the number of hits he makes and his power potential. Ornelas is far away, but I like his tools and that he was solid in A-ball while only 18. I've liked my 2nd round picks in the past AMAT drafts and think I'll be able to get another good prospect there.

Seattle agrees-Been a fan of Nimmo for some time, I think he is a blossoming big league hitter and OF which is a weakness for me. 4 years of control of Nimmo made the decision to give up Mountcastle and Ornales easier to swallow. There comes a point when you have to seek proven talent in exchange for hopefuls. Thanks for the easy negotiating!

+10 Seattle
Mountcastle isn’t the headliner I’d be looking for but a top 60 hitter, a prospect with some helium attached, and a draft pick that is a few picks before I acquired Alek Thomas last year isn’t too bad of a return. Still feel like the return for Nimmo should have been higher so I give the edge to Seattle. Mountcastle’s bat is much less special at 1B.
