Dodgers trade
Miguel Sano, 3B, $20,000,000 2021 Hunter Fedducia, C
Seattle Trades
Kiké Hernandez, MI/OF, $1,000,000 2019-20T Julio Teheran, P, $8,000,000 2020
Dodgers reasoning:
For starters, Sano is just not one of my favorite guys. I inherited him from the previous owner and have been looking to unload his contract since then. I may get burned if he ever fulfills his potential, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take. I think I can do better for his money. I’m actually a little more torn over Fedducia. I love me some Dodgers minor league catchers. The whole point of this trade for me is to break up a logjam I have at 3B, pick up a useful utility guy with OF eligibility, and cut salary. Teheran will be a placeholder until the likes of Honeywell or Luzardo are ready, but hopefully he surprises me.
Big thanks to Seattle for being nice to deal with once again.

Seattle agrees. I think Sano can flat out hit, he is a huge question mark with his season last year but I think he bounces back. The 20 million salary is worth the money if he gets back to form. Ive been searching for a 1B option this offseason and im hoping he moves there. Hard to let Kike go with the flexibility and salary but he may continue to platoon, Teheran is a solid SP but its a postion of depth for me. Thanks Jon for the smooth sailin

+3 LAD, Sano is the best player in the deal, but I would rather have the cap space.

+2 SEA. I have a man crush on Miguel Sano the ballplayer. Just really lost hope on him as a person. I hope he is able to play 100 games at 3rd, most likely will move to 1st or DH in the near future. When healthy, he can hit 30 HRs, 100 RBIS and a .900 OPS. He's still young, so he could get better, but it's hard to develop a guy when he's not on the field. If healthy that contract fits him, but if not it could be a burden. Got to take chances to win though. So, I salute Robin.

+3 Seattle. Solely on the fact I think Sano is going to bounce back in a big way. The salary relief and MLB depth was a nice move for LA. I like both sides of this deal

+20 Dodgers - I’m not convinced Sano is the best hitter in this trade but he’s by far the highest priced one. I suppose the pedigree and shedding Teheran helps Seattle a bit but 2018 Kike is not 2015 Kike. Sano’s potential is the only reason I’m keeping this trade somewhat close
Robin - I’ll gladly come back and eat crow on this one if I’m wrong but I love this trade for Jon. I predict right now that Kike is going to be a cheap trade chip at the deadline for a cash strapped contender
