Intrastate trade incoming
CIN trades: Jose Peraza $9,600,000 2021 (4M Retained through 2021) 2019 FYPD 5th Round Pick
CLE trades: Greg Allen 600,000 2023...pretty sure it's 23 Will Benson Richard Palacios
Wasn't sure if I should trade Peraza or not he is a decently entrenched league average SS that provides some help in a thin category. However with him not being on a rookie contract and only 3 years left I felt I could move him.
I like Allen, and he should get even more playing time next year with the departures from the CLE OF, he has more control, is much cheaper and should provide similar value to Peraza in Steals and OBP while filling a position of need. My hope is that with more exposure he will be able to tease his walk rate up.
Benson is kind of the key to the deals success or failure. He has a lot of loud tools, so much so that it makes taking the risk on the whiff worth it, especially if he keeps walking like he does. He's young and there's hope he can fix some of the moving parts. Coupled with Palacios who I think has a stable floor and could provide similar value to Peraza a few years down the road. I was keen on him for the draft, he then proceeded to tear up the lower levels.
Thanks to Cody for the trade, GL on the repeat bid

Trade confirmed. I was in need of a MI and Peraza is an every day guy. His OPS isn't great but he is still young and under contract for a while. I think he can improve his OBP and steal 30 for me. That's a game changer from my MI position. 5.6 mill isn't bad for a league average SS with that kind of SB potential.
Allen can steal bases but I don't see being more than a 4th outfielder. I really like Benson and Palacios. One can hit bombs and the other can just hit. We will see how they develop
Im trying to win now and this fills the biggest hole in my lineup. Good luck Woods thanks for the painless negotiations

+15 CLE Giving Cleveland the edge in this one because of the retained salary saving. Peraza for 5.6 mil a season is solid and he provides good value in a couple of categories. Allen, Benson, and Palacios are decent prospects and its not a bad price to give up for a MLB starter. I dont see a high ceiling in an of those guys.
