Cleveland receives:
Gary Sanchez $15,500,000 2021 Masahiro Tanaka $10,500,000 2021 Miguel Andujar
Yankees recieve:
Chris Archer $19,100,000 2021 Willians Astudillo $600,000 2020-2021T Jose Peraza $9,600,000 2021 James Pazos $720,000 2022 Kevin Siegrist $3,070,000 2021
Cleveland confirms. Got alot of inquiries about Astudillo and tried to hold on to him. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to add Sanchez and Andujar. I believe Sanchez will be the best catcher is fantasy next year. Andujar is a very skilled young hitter and I think he has superstar potential. I downgraded in pitching a bit losing archer, mostly because Tanaka has a hard time staying healthy. I love astudillo and think he will be a really good player. Got a touch of salary relief with Siegrist. Peraza was a tough loss as I just traded for him as a starting MI. All in all I think I got the best talent. Time will tell.
Thanks Josh for the easy negotiations and good luck!

Think risk/reward for Sanchez and Archer kind of offset each other. I'm not particularly confident in either of them but if forced to pick one I think I'd lean Sanchez, especially since I don't view Archer as an upgrade over Tanaka, in fact I'd personally prefer Tanaka as I kind of view all pitchers as injury risks and the difference in salary more then makes up for any perceived difference in injury risk.
I get this league is gaga over catchers but I do see the appeal Astudillo. However considering the lack of TC I don't really view him as a carrying piece for Tanaka let alone Andujar. I'm willing to concede that if one is high enough then Astudillo is more then enough to carry Tanaka, it still doesn't make up the value lost from losing Andujar's TC. Peraza is acquired at double plus good value so it helps take the sting out somewhat I guess.
I'll say +6 CLE, was a lot higher on first glance though. Cleveland gets the best piece, sheds some contract, and I don't feel NY accomplished one of their goals in improving at pitcher, but if one is sky high on Astudillo and super low on Tanaka, then I can see the logic.

I follow the Twins alot, and I'm not even sure Astudillo is going to make the 25 man roster. He'll have to impress in spring training. Castro and Garver are also there. Astudillo would have to be a utility type player. If he his what he's doing in the DR right now, though... He's uniquely a special player.
This is a real big deal, Sanchez has a chance to be a top 5 catcher in the league. Risks are huge, but the potential is also huge. Tanaka is a good get here as well. I would bet on Tanaka this year on being a solid pitcher. Andujar at the rookie contract; he's the best piece in this deal.
Archer could be the steal in this deal. He has some of the best stuff in the league, just haven't been able to get back to the elite pitcher I know he has in him. Astudillo can be a solid piece, but it's not a guaranteed, and giving up this much... Peraza is an average offensive player, but he has 20+ steals if he gets the opportunities.
Overall, big deal, but I favor Cleveland here. +10 CLE, based almost on Andujar. Archer is a good get though.

CLE +15
Given history of both injuries and performance, I see Tanaka/Archer as a wash. Factor in contract, slight edge Tanaka.
Astudillo - I get it: rarely Ks, has double-digit home run potential, multiple position potential, cheap contract. But his track record doesn't suggest a consistent hit tool, no prospect pedigree (but neither did Albert Pujols), doesn't walk, unknown role and/or roster spot, and looks out of shape (but so did Prince Fielder and that dude ran down triples faster than many lighter guys). There's just not enough - including his one great month in the majors - to make me think he's worth a hefty investment. I see Sanchez's upside as a significant upgrade over Astudillo, including contract differential.
Andujar, I'm not sure yet but am more optimistic about his fantasy potential than Peraza - who's average-at-best OBP with ok speed and maybe-double-digit pop doesn't really justify the contract. I like Andujar and his rookie contract over Peraza/Pazos/Seigrist.
Add in the salary savings and freed up roster spots, and I think Indians got the clear edge in this deal. But I also understands Josh's need/desire to make the roster his own - thereby resulting in some deals that may seem a bit lopsided - so best of luck to Yankees. If you got the guys you want, then that's all that matters.

I am not a believer in andujar or Sanchez. Andujar was tough to include but wanted peraza and definitely have huge hopes for Astudillo, seriously think this kid will be a all star! Sanchez isn't worth his contract one bit and I also do want to make this team my own! Hopefully Archer gets back to pure baller form!!

+25 CLE as that is a great contract for Andujar, and I am not a believer in Archer still having ace potential.
Trade processed. Note that Andujar was still in need of promotion to the 40 man roster and received a 80% arbitration raise due to his performance last year, so his salary is now 1,080,000 to 2023.
