Dodgers trade
Andrew Toles, OF, $600,000, Delvin Perez, SS 2019 9th Round Amat Pick
Yankees Trade
Jordan Montgomery, P, $840,000, 2022 David Freese, 1B/3B, $3,000,000, 2019 and pay $1.5 million of Freese’s salary in 2019
Dodgers reasoning
i think (or hope maybe) that Montgomery is the best player in this trade going forward. Taking him on gives me that future, plus a roster spot once he goes on the 60 day DL. To get him, I’m also taking on Freese and some salary, which may end up helping since I am weak at 3B. Giving up Toles is hard. I’ve carried him since I’ve owned the team, because I believe in his potential and now I’m trading him just when he may have his best chance to get playing time. Perez has been a disappointment, but still has potential. I just have many better, in my mind, SS prospects. Throwing in the 9th Pick to make this deal happen should be OK since I don’t have too many spots to fill with that draft.

Considering I didn't have a single shortstop in my minor league system and the fact I truly believe Montgomery is just not going to go anywhere for me this trade took a lot of work for such a simple trade. We both got what we wanted I think. Toles has been on my radar for a while and Perez has the potential to pop big! This trade has a lot of upside for both! I needed a roster spot cleared and got that as well!

+10 NYY is my preference, as I give the edge to the offensive upside of Toles and Perez

+ 15 NYY. I think Delvin Perez ks the centerpiece for me, I think he figures out his potential at some point and becomes a star. Montgomery is a value pitcher at his contract in this league.
