Detroit Trades: RP Buck Farmer $1,270,000 2020-21T (Paid Minors) SS Ryan Goins $600,000 2020-21T (Paid Minors)
New York Yankees Trade: SS Drew Robinson $600,000 2023 RP James Pazos $720,000 2022
Note to the commissioner who processes this: Buck farmer and Ryan Goins are currently in the paid minors. As per section 2.1 of the Constitution, when they are traded they are moved with in the minor leagues and are not to be placed on the 40-man roster either in Fantrax or on the spreadsheet. I'm putting this reminder here since it is a stipulation of the trade.
Detroit Reasoning: Considering I am in a small need of relief pitching, especially holds, it does seem odd to trade away farmer. However, with Ryan tepera hopefully coming off the DL this week that need should be fixed. This deal allows me to shed Ryan Goins contract. Since I'm from Toronto Goins will always hold a special place in my memories of our playoff runs however, objectively speaking he is not seeing any major league at-bats. I also get to acquire two younger more controllable guys. Pazos will hopefully see some holds one day, although his strikeouts per 9 Innings ratio is not that appealing. And Drew Robinson is sort of a lottery pick, hopefully he picks up some at-bats in St Louis, although I'm not expecting too much.

New York accepts. This frees up 2 roster spots for me and I also like farmer actually seeing playing time since Pazos has been forgotten in Philly! I liked Pazos for holds this year but not so sure anymore. Robinson is a possible loss but I think I have some younger guys to replace him to better my future! Thanks Detroit!
