Yankees trade Justin Smoak, 1B, $960,000, 2019
Since I’m still technically in contention in the NL West, I wanted to pick up a full time CI and Smoak contract is very affordable and I see him as a good replacement for Dietrich who I traded last week. I’m not a big believer in Zeuch, who was left over from the previous owner and not one of my top pitching prospects. I thought it was probably good value and if things don’t work out I could always flip Smoak again before the deadline.
