TOR receives: all 6 of PIT 2020 MILB picks
PIT receives: all 10 of TOR 2020 AMA picks
reasoning: i always prefer the MILB draft to the AMA as I am always more prepared for it. Also I thought it would be fun to do something like this and Mike was willing to try so big thanks to him. If I need any more AMA picks, I could always try to trade for some before the draft anyway.

Reasoning: After shopping around the MLFA picks I wasn't getting the offers I had hoped for and Frank offer this trade. I prepare for the AMAT draft every season for other leagues so I am more comfortable with the AMAT picks over the MFLA picks....Thanks for the trade Frank and good Luck.

A lot of this trade depends, of course, on how the picks are used. I give PIT the edge because they are getting 4 more picks than TOR, and I also believe that outside of the 1st round, the Amateur draft has more talent. It would be very interesting to look back at these 16 picks two or three years from now and see how things are working out for each team.

I generally agree with Jon, especially factoring in the extra picks - though you can at times get more immediate help from the MiLFA draft, you may also be drafting 16-17 year olds that are generally farther off than AMAT picks, depending on your philosophy of picking in this draft.
I think if you just did this trade with the first six rounds of each draft I might call it even or closer though it's probably easier to find 5th and 6th round AMAT talent than 5th-6th round MiLFA talent, it's the extra lottery tickets that swing it more for me than perceived comparable value. I get the rationale for both teams doing this but think maybe something more could have gone back the other way to compensate for the extra picks.
