My sparkling personality and best wishes.
I accept.
I whiffed on some of the bigger names in FA, but I still had a decent amount of cap space so went with a bit of a more moderate strategy for 2020, targeting close guys who should have a role this year. I get Long back into the system, which is fine he should be a contributor on my roster this year. Though on my end this is all about Pavin. He has elite zone control and his ISO jumped 40 points in double AA bringing some hope that he'll get enough power to play into an everyday role. With the AAA ball being the same as the MLB ball I think there's a decent chance that he continues to build on the thump. If he does not, he has spent time at the corner OF spots and seems to be handling them well, so at worst he'll be a first off the bench type of player.
Further all the cap relief I'm providing isn't exactly useless. Andriese may end up with a starting job in Anaheim as it's likely he'll start Spring Training in the rotation if not he still has appeal as source of spot starts and long relief role. Vargas is in Korea but a good showing could mean a return, he has all that pop, so there will be intrigue.
Thanks to the Twins for the trade and easy negotiations and welcome to the league and good luck!
