Phillies send: Eugenio Suarez, $9.1MM, 2020 Zack Cozart, $5.4MM, 2020-21M Mets send: Nolan Gorman MiLBFA 2nd Ryan Vilade
Phillies reasoning: - Building a core
- Gorman's astronomical K rate and high BABIP for a low AVG are very scary - but he hasn't even turned 20 yet, so I'm holding out hope he can get things worked out this season, or even next
- Vilade has been on my radar since before he was drafted - I've always loved this kid and while big-time power hasn't really showed, he's still putting up solid numbers. Rockies fans, this is your future 3B once Nolan gets traded.

Mets accept!
This solves my MI problem because I can put Suarez at 3B and bump Ryan McMahon over to MI. Suarez has 50 HR potential and if he performs well this year, the Mets plan on offering him a FAT contract next offseason. For now he's at a bargain price even if you combine Cozart's salary.
I'll miss Gorman and Vilade, they both have the potential to be big time power hitting 3B's and I've liked watching their progression so far. However, I want to be more competitive this season, so moving them while they've got at least a couple years before they make the majors makes sense.

+9 for Mets cus he gets two guys I used to have on my roster.
Probably that much if I'm being impartial. I never understood the hype Gorman got before last year and feel last is closer to what we'll see from him. Ton of power too much whiff plus fluctuating walk rates always concern me especially if the fluctuation is downwards. Still if he can edge the Walk rate up back to 10 percent and maintain it I could change my stance. Vilade on the other hand I really like, especially if he sticks in Colorado and he's the piece I like most going back to Philly. Still not bad for either team a decent return for a cheap contract on a good player.

Already done Alex. I waived two yesterday. It's not quite 48 hours yet, though, in case someone wants to claim?
