Holy smokes! Y'all ready!! Yankee's trade 1B Mike Ford $600,000 2024 7/4/1992 SP Justus Sheffield $600,000 20xx
RP Roberto Osuna $14,300,000 2021
For
1B Matt Olson $1,843,200 2022 SP Matt Moore $10,341,000 2021-22P Minnesota's 4th round Milfa Minnesota's 4th round amateur. Both picks are for the current upcoming drafts in each. Not sure on what year to post though.
Yankees accept,This took some work. I knew once I picked up a 3rd closer Osuna had to go to free up a bit more money since some guys in FA went way higher than expected. I love the upside of Olson. HR totals have been up every year and I desperately needed a legit 1B for a couple years till Arizona figured out the Cron Walker situation. I appreciate Casey negotiating as hard as he did. Justus sucks to lose real bad being a for hard Mariners fan, but the chance to lock up a legit #1 1B was something I had to pursue. All in all I free cap, get the guy I want! And I get some picks back that I've traded away!

Twins Accept. The final peice of the purge is gone. After moving the Matt Moore deal I am free of bad paid minors deals that were limiting my teams potential. Olson is a good player and very valuble in this league so I dont take losing him lightly. I'll have to move Hoskins to 1B and rely a little more on young players. My team still needed saves and Osuna is in as good a situation as anyone to get 35+. I pickup 2 young controllable players and dump dead money. The Twins are almost ready to compete now and I'm not done yet. This trade will complete the transition to a team with most of its money actually on the 40 man. Thanks Josh for the "dickering" it was fun and a good learning experience.

+10 Yankees, even with the Matt Moore contract, Olson is legit. This is one of those trades you regret not being a part of (IMO).
