BAL sends Jack Reinheimer Yadier Alvarez Jacob May, Jr Chesny Young Ryan Castellani Milfa 4, 5 and 6
CHC sends nothing
I'm frustrated with the prices in offseason FA and want to keep some space for the inseason pop up guys. Figured I'd take in $3MM from BAL for some low probability picks, since I prepare heavily for the Milfa draft and love combing the internet for the scraps of information that can inform franchise altering selections!

+5 cubs, nice to get picks, even late for only $3 million.
FYI to the league, you can cut up to four Pre Arb or Arb eligible players every fall so you don’t have to wait out the length of all the contracts.

But it is only for pre arb Ayers only correct? Basically any 20xx contracts and any pre arb I can just release with no worries?

I thought we could only non-tender one player that was it was my understanding maybe that was after the cutoff date maybe. And I read the constitution on all that but I still don't understand some of it. What the Blue Jays dude is saying is that you can cut up to four players. That would be not a non-tender that would be just cut. So technically if you can cut for players better pre arbitration-eligible or arbitration-eligible then you could also non-tender one so that would be up to five players at the end of a season you could potentially get rid of and not have to pay anything for their contract except for the non-tender guy you have to pay 60% of the bayou is the way I'm understanding it

Sorry, to clarify what I meant is non-tender by cut. it is only 4 players that can be removed, but its not just Pre-arb players. It is anyone with the value "Pre-Arb" or "Y" in the arbitration column who can be non-tendered (what I referred to as cut before). I hope that clarifies things. If not, I can try to explain it better.
From the Constitution: " Section 6.7 - Non-Tender
GMs may choose to non-tender up to four (4) players each year that meet the criteria of being (a) arbitration eligible or (b) assigned a 20xx contract, i.e. promoted to the 40-man roster but not yet exceeding 130 AB / 50 IP. This transaction may occur any time between the end of the season and November 30th. Non-tendering will result in the immediate release of the player. Non-tendered players become free agents and Teams are not responsible for the contracts of non-tendered players."
