Baltimore Receives: Robbie Cano $18,400,000 2020 Luis Rengifo $600,000 2024 Eli White (farm)
Toronto Receives 3rd round MILB pick Nicky Lopez $600,000 2024 Wencel Perez (farm) Drew Storen $2,500,000 2021 Pat Neshek $2,500,000 2020 Ariel Miranda $1,800,000 2021 Jose Reyes $4,500,000 2020 Jefry Marte $1,500,000 2020
Toronto Reasoning: Saw an opportunity to retool at the major league level, open up some salary, while hopefully still being just as competitive, maybe a slight step back, for this year.
These discussions went on for a while, mostly due to my schedule with responding. Thanks Jazz and, as a Mets fan, good luck Cano! I’m pretty sure last year was just bad due to injury.

I accept... As Nicky Lopez was my only major League 2nd baseman I saw the opportunity to buy cano off a bad year and get rengifo who is a nice piece. Upgrading from Lopez to those two for only about 5.6 million was a plus for me

Nice trade from both sides. Os get an everyday 2B who could bounce back with a little PED usage. Jays get some future value for a guy becoming a free agent.
