New York Tankees Trade: SP Chris Archer $19,100,000 2021 2B Jorge Mateo $600,000 20xx OF DJ Peters $600,000 20xx NYY 3rd RD AMAT Pick
Detroit Tigers Trade: SP Beau Burrows (MLiB) DET 6th RD AMAT Pick
Reasoning: First off, I know I know, We have seen the last of a productive Archer. I totally expect him to come back next year and either stink, get DFA'd or get injured again. But the way I see this offseason FA market is that there is a tone of cap room floating around, but very few decent FA's. Which to me means that decent ones will be overpriced. So i'm more inclined to sit on the 19+Mill. So in return for that service and Burrows, I get: 1. A half decent pick upgrade. 2. A MI I hope will turn into cheap controllable depth/insurance and 3. A real boom or bust prospect who is close to booming.....or busting. But I like that Peters he is with LA because they have had success in the pass with those types of prospects. In the end it was pretty reasonable negotiations with Josh.

Yankee's agree! All in all I have shipped Peter's and Mateo for a while, their value just isn't getting any better IMO right now. I really thought archer would bounce back when I aquired him but as we all know that's a nope! The ability to dump 20 million to add to next year's FA market should give a good amount of money to get a few starters for next season. I did really like Peter's but his k rate is worrisome for me and he's kinda blocked a bit by a LA outfield with depth. Mateo being traded to SD really hurt, they are so loaded with talent in the infield that like Detroit says I feel he's nothing more than depth now. Not huge on burrows but it adds a prospect with a chance. Thanks Detroit for the easy trade talk.

+5 Yankees
The yankees freed 20+ million dollars worth of cap space while the tigers got some nice pieces.. This is a very good trade but archers contract (for me) is too much to take on. (The Yankees would have to keep half of the contract and add pieces for me take Archer, but this isn't about me). The Yankees did a great job getting rid of a bad contract while the tigers got some good pieces
