Baltimore accepts... I get a possible star in Reynolds.. I get a very valuable catcher in nola.. Two guys who play and have the ability to help me through this year... All for the same price as Jim Johnson.. I get out from under Jay bruce and cedric mullins I would have traded for a player to be named in 2029... Salary relief plus a 26 year old allstar for 5 years is worth the risk of a 17 year old and a draft pick

I accept excited to have the 1 .4 pick to go along with 1 overall and Lora had to have him a little worried Reynolds will turn into a star but so may my 4 pick

+40 SFG
Lora and pick 1.4 are by far the most valuable assets in this trade in my opinion. Reynolds is an average OF at best on a poor team. Nola, Fowler and Rosenthal are replacement level pieces maybe, or maybe not. The small salary savings doesn’t justify giving away 2 prime prospects.

+30 SFG I'm mosty bitter because I was trying to get that pick. Also I value AMAT picks higher than most. Rentals dont have as much value in a season that might not happen. The future is bright in SF

15 million a year for 3 years isn't exactly minor to me but to each their own

That 15 mil is huge to a team that was cap strapped before the deal. Changing mine to +20 SFG. I like Nola too.

While I'd rather eat the money then trade away the 4th pick, I guess I can see the logic if you like the player. I've got BABIP concerns regarding Reynolds, but BAL doesn't so I don't think this is that out of kilter as everyone else thinks as BALs getting 2 controllable ML pieces for assets that won't mature for 3-5 years.

Ok this one's tough for me! I do like Nola, and I like jazz if possible will dump some bad salary if at all possible, but I think I have to go +20 SF, that pick could be a huge difference maker in 3-5 and the Orioles really don't get any huge difference makers IMO. Like the trade good job SF and hope the pick works out!
