Chicago gets OF Aaron Judge 3,024,000 2022
Cincinnati gets: OF Austin Meadows 1,080,000 2023 SP Kyle Cody
I accept, so a few weeks ago a team had asked me about meadows. I told they'd have to give Dave Matthews Band tickets for him. But i still looked into what i could get for trading him. I tossed a few ideas around for a couple of weeks. Meadows isn't having a amazing year. And judge was (until his injury, but he's back the yankees lineup today). All the sudden i had an idea, what if i could get judge for meadows? I have had interest in him for a while now, he is under contract for a while and dosent cost 50 million dollars. So yesterday i messaged Cincinnati and i spent the day yesterday throwing around ideas, included a third team for a bit but that fell apart. This morning i got a message form cincinnati giving me 2 offers. I liked this one better. I like Aaron Judge so much better than meadows. I think if he goes back to hitting all of his home runs, i could win the world series. But tons of luck to cincinnati. I had alot of fun negotiating this trade!

I accept.
I did my best, I'm likely done trading for 2020. I'm really fed up up with the negotiation process and I've been feeling guilty about coming off as unreasonable as few people seem interested in negotiating seriously after my apparent clown shoes offers. This isn't directed at Luke or anyone specific, I actually like this league, it's just the entire process coupled with this shitty year has me just annoyed with baseball since it looks like we're headed to another stupid fight between owners and players in 2021 since nothing was accomplished by their caterwauling this year which has only been exacerbated by Manfred's hard-ass persona he's adopted to be the law and order commish but only when it pertains to slights against the Astros. Oh and by the way all the things the Reds did last offseason finally looked like this year was going to matter, but it's the same old results. Sorry I'm venting but I digress I'm just not into baseball this year, even in leagues I'm winning and anything related to it feels like a chore. I guess I lied about digressing.
Judge is really hot but gets injured every month and doing no good on my team especially since it doesn't look like 2021 is a reasonable contention window for me either so at best in the long run Judge is a one year rental while Meadows is a buy low, has an extra year and contributes across all the cats. I'm not really worried about the down year, a lot of the struggles are tied into BABIP, and the power "problem" isn't really a problem the power numbers are down off a big year but still look good for a 30hr a year guy. Cody is a decent ratio reliever and anything else I asked for the return felt too much in a deal I already was behind in with regards to overall talent.
Good luck to Luke, thanks for the negotiations I hope your excitement leads to a title.

+1 Reds
I think this is basically even. Judge is a stud, but it seems like he can't put together a full season. I'm not worried about Meadows especially since he's only played 19 games so far this year, so I give the slight edge to Cincinnati for getting an extra season and a slightly cheaper contract.
I understand Cincinnati's frustrations with trading this season. Most of the trades I've made for this season haven't worked out the way I would've liked them to and MLB has been frustrating in general. Hopefully we get some normalcy next year, but that may require the relationship between the owners and players to improve more rapidly than can be reasonably expected.

I’d prefer the White Sox end of the deal since he’s getting the better player but it’s basically even value wise adding in Meadows’ extra year, Judge’s injury issues (which is the main reason he’s been traded like three times this year already) and getting Cody who could be interesting, though he missed two years and hadn’t pitched above A before this year the Rangers clearly think highly enough of him to throw him out there this year.
I’m with Woods on pretty much everything he said, honestly I probably would have peaced out on the season before it started because of all the stupid drama and question marks but I didn’t want to saddle anyone else with a shotgun marriage. I do worry about the appeal of a dynasty league long term with more labor issues looming down the road and draft issues in at least the next two drafts here leading up to that.
For now I’m just playing this thing out and see if I can take advantage of the 2020 chaos.
