Buy out the pedo bitch Filipe Rivero $6,720,000 Cleveland will pay $4,032,000 ($2,000,000) covered by San Fran I'll need to look and see if there's a precedent set for how buy-outs and retained salary obligations interact. My interpretation is that if you're buying-out the contract, the contract is void and the retained salary no longer applies (as provided by SFG in this case)

I couldn't find any precedent, but instead added a line to the Constitution to clarify this in the future: "(iii) Any of the bought-out player’s retained salary provided by another team is nullified and not included in the calculation of the contract balance."
So Rivero will be paid the 60% of his salary per the buy-out.
Typing that, it doesn't feel right. I'm going to work on an exemption to clear contracts for any player who essentially retires due to criminal or medical purposes. More to come, I'm treating this as a buy-out for now.
