I’ve searched around the league for a frontline, or close to it, starter and a RP and found the cost to be prohibitive In most cases even for pitchers with only 1 or 2 years left on their contract. In my situation, that just wasn’t worth 1st round draft picks or overall top 20 prospects. This led me to the CWS offer which included MLB pieces and was a little more quantity driven. I’m losing some cheap contracts and a prospect I really like I. Ortiz, but it’s going to make me stronger overall I think. Thanks Luke for the offer and the quick negotiations.

Can't believe I paid what I did for Springer and Hoskins when 4 years of Darvish for $14 MM was on the table for far lesser prospects. Don't get this one for CWS but I know he's one to think his deals through so he's seeing something I'm not

Definitely a buyer's market right now. Would have been interesting to see if these spate of trades would have been more balanced if made during Free Agency.
