SD Gets: Nolan Arenado $27.5m 2021 (COL to pay $13.5m)
COL Gets: AMAT 2.7 AMAT 5.7 MiLFA 3.7
My reasoning:
This is straightforward. Nolan Arenado is an elite 3B, and that’s my biggest roster need right now. I’m not concerned by his 60 game injury impacted slump in 2020. I’m going for it in 2021, and what I’m giving up wouldn’t have helped me this season.

Trade accepted. I believe both parties are happy with the deal!

+20 San Diego
Nolan Arenado is one of the best third basemen all time.. and to take some salary off i think would be better for COL if he got more

Surprised COL couldn't get a little more for Arenado. Im sure he will be back to his #1 fantasy 3B self this year. Would have been nice to get a 1st rounder but I get the need to move him. Unfortunately its a sell low after his down year. Nice work SD in adding Arenado, Abreu, and Betts. In this league you have to make aggressive moves to win a championship and he is doing just that.

Even
I like this trade for both sides. Colorado gets quantity of picks instead of 1st round which will help them towards a deeper system. SD gets another good player to add to his one year push for a wild card spot. Could work out well for both of them.

+25 SD. Would think Nolan would get more of a sure thing in return, even if it's only one year especially with the salary coverage

Nice to see studs on the move. Salary at the top is a premium for competing teams so these deals all have to include the discount in order to get the deal done.
Arrenado is worth more then a 2nd but at the same time, not really a lot of landing places for him and with the way trades returns have been recently.
20+ SD in a vacuum, +5 SD in context.

I think is the most one-sided of the rental deals we've had, but of course if COL hits on the picks it could look better in a few years.
