I signed Williams because I was already familiar with him as an injury-prone prospect with upside who was finally healthy and looked like he might do something for the Brewers, finally. I hoped that he would help me, either via stats or via trade. Mission accomplished.
While my team is progressing, it's still very much building, so I won't shy away from trading away pieces I can't hold onto for long if I can get something I want in return.
Curtis actually offered a guy I really like - hell, the industry seems to like - and I'm also getting a good pick too.
Of course, if I had Williams til 2024 or something at $1.25MM, I wouldn't be dealing him.
