CHC sends: OF Ian Happ $2,151,360 2022 RP Zack Littell $600,000 2024 (retains $600k salary through 2024)
TEX sends: 3rd rd MiLFA pick
I don't think it's all that likely that Happ is able to reestablish enough value for me to put him in my starting lineup prior to his JBL contract being over. I kind of see this in part as salary relief for this season and next in addition to gaining a nice shot to acquire a controllable prospect through the MiLFA draft. There's a decent chance that I'm entirely wrong and Happ is productive in 2022, but that's a risk I'm willing to take.

I don't value the MiLB draft as much as the AMAT draft, just less value in later rounds based on upside.
Ian Happ is struggling this year, but I'm buying a resurgence next year. Littell is a nice pickup for me in case he gets some holds in a few year.
Thanks, Curtis.
