Yankees trade their 1st round milfa For 2B/SS Ramon Urias $654,000 2026 Yankees accept. I really was looking for a possible full time SS fill possible everyday guy in case free agency is crazy. I'll take the control over a young unproven guy I haven't researched. Thanks Tampa

I like Urias, think he will have a near full-time job in Baltimore for a couple years. But my roster has enough similar options at MI that I can take a flyer on the upside of a first round pick, for long-term team building.
From another POV, I picked up Urias in a trade last season for an expiring contract and a late-round pick, so I make a little profit on the investment.
Accepted, thanks NYY.

+10 Yankees
The odds of the 13th pick turning into someone as good as Urias are actually small, so I like the Yankees getting 5 years of a decent middle infielder here.

reasonable trade, kinda a little surprised Urias brings a first. I guess I dont think Urias does much more than move the chain.
