I'd like to put forward the idea of removing the rescinding element from waivers. once you cut a player, they are cut and then the claims process should just run.
The current rule just allows GMs to get a third party roundtable on who they shouldn't cut and is a waste of time for GMs.
I'd like to propose we remove a GM's ability to rescind a waiver / cut, once they are cut that's it and the normal claim process takes place.
Thanks!

Well we try to follow the rules of the actual MLB here, that's why it's set up that way. It's a great tool to use to gauge interest in a player if you might want to trade them as well. It's a good feature if used correctly.

I understand trying to follow the MLB but at the same time, it does seem to be a waste of times for GMs to put claims in. so to improve it for fantasy purposes, I think adding that level of risk to it makes it much more interesting and teams will have to be much more careful. if you want to gauge interest on players that should be where the trade block comes into play. right now all of the power is with the owner and I think this would be a good improvement to the system.

I agree with the proposed change. Nice to mirror MLB, but no need to be exact. Current rule makes league less competitive. It is rarely a good idea to put your team in the hands of other owners. Do any of us really want that?

If there is any rule that needs changed or implemented it would be the ability to sign a player to a extension before he hits FA. I think that would be a great rule to look into a way to make happen. If you draft a guy he stays on your roster till expiration of contract then there should be some formula to sign said player to a new extension. I like the waivers process personally. I can see where it could be pointless in some regards but there is some good to it.

I'd like to have the ability to "offer an extension" to a player about to hit free agency.
As to the issues mentioned about rescinding waivers, I am under the impression if a team designates a player that they can be claimed, and if no one puts in a claim for him then the option of assigning him to the minors is in play...just my impression.

Any rule changes would not go into effect until next offseason.
