Dodgers receive: Miguel Sano, 3B - $20,000,000, 2021 Ryan Pressley. RP - $3,000,000, 2019-2020P
Twins receive: Alex Gordon, OF - $3,250,000, 2019-2020M Kenley Jansen, RP - $21,500,000 2019
I accept this trade because I value Sano, especially in OBP, very high. He's a long term piece I can plug in my offense to go along with Seager, Pederson, Piscotty, and Kiermaier. Additionally, I save a bit of cash on the backend. I love Kenley, but with a rebuild I think he works better on a team competing right now. Pressley fills the void left from Jansen's departure in the RP department. I have an extra outfielder from the Kershaw deal and allows me to slide Sano in at 3B or Utility.

Twins confirm
We get one of the best relievers in the game and replace Sano with Alex Gordon. Sano has much more potential than 33 year old Gordon but stat wise they aren't too far off (IMO)

0. Sano for 20 mil is pretty risky but time is on his side.

0 - IMO it's close but Sano > Jansen (with contract lengths considered) and Pressley < Gordon. The differences essentially even out in my eyes.

Sano has great potential. Sano not only strikesout a lot but his eye is unprecedented witht that type of power, Miggy smalls. Pressly is going to be setup man with 70 innings this year. Jansen gets you them closer points and Gordon I wouldn't take that whole contract, but... Dodgers 15.

+2 Twins.
Sano carries a lot of risk, lot of swing in miss in his game hurts his OBP. There is nothing to suggest that he won't strike out 30+ percent of the time going forward. But he does have 40+ HR potential, and his walk rate makes his OBP passable.
Still would rather have Jansen for 3 years then the risk of Sano for 5, but trade makes sense for both sides.

0 - Trade could go either way, closers are volatile and Sano is a gamble

0.Fair deal with some gamble as with all trades. Sano is a really good bat here, Kenley is elite at his position and Gordon is a solid lineup plug. Lowe is a wildcard, but he's really far away and could even be pitching by the time all is said and done.
