Mets trade: Justin Grimm 28th round MiLB draft pick
Yankees trade: 30th round MiLB draft pick
Reasoning: I discovered an error in my spreadsheet that dropped me from $3M to $150K in cap space. Grimm hasn't really done anything for me lately and I don't have a use for him right now, so he became someone I was looking to take off the books so that I can put some of my prospects on my roster if I need/want to. Yankees have a ton of cap space and were able to add Grimm with little effect on their situation. This deal is purely a salary dump for me and Yankees are essentially doing me a favor, in return I'm upgrading their final pick in the MiLB draft.

Yankees confirm deal.
My reasoning is as follows. I can wait and see if Grimm ever gets anyone out. The risk is minimal for me. I have 40plus million in cap space and if Grimm doesnt pan out there is a team option for 18 and I will let him fall off the books and I am no worse for the wear in return I get a pick 2 rounds higher than my last pick. And I can help out a guy who needs help at minimal risk to us.
