Mets/Brewers Trade

I agree to this trade. I'm in a good position to win right now and the addition of Reed & Holland help me two categories that I need help in (saves & K/9). Lowrie gives me some depth at a thin MI position. What really seals the deal for me is that all these guys are multi-year deals, so they can help me this year, next year, and (in the case of Reed) in 2019 as well.

As a fan of '90s sitcoms, it's really tough to part with Ray, Romano, and a guy named Newman. But ultimately this package of guys aren't going to help me win in the next few years (with the possible exception of Romano and Newman), so I felt they were expendable in the right deal which I think this was. I also don't feel as though I will regret any of the salary dumps in Feliz, Bailey, & Triggs. Maybe Triggs will be decent the next few years, but I wasn't convinced from what I watched of him this year.

All in all, I'm hoping that this deal will help carry me further into the playoffs this year and set me up to be a contender next year & in 2019 as well.
