-Jesse Chavez ($1,500,000 2017)
-Scott Van Slyke ($1,000,000 2017)
-Rickie Weeks Jr. ($600,000 2017)
-2017 Amateur Draft Pick 8.17
Mets trade:
-2017 Amateur Draft Pick 10.15
Rays are looking to free up some cap space for this season and next season and I have more cap space than I need for the foreseeable future, particularly with what I expect to be a weak free agent class coming up this offseason. Chavez, Van Slyke, and Weeks all come off the books after this year, so they don't effect me at all long term. I'll have to hold on to Gomez through the end of next year. He was good for half of last year, so maybe he'll figure it out. Taking on his contract seems pretty low risk to me. In return, my last pick jumps improves 2 rounds.
