Following the conclusion of round 10 of the AMAT draft teams will have until Sunday Aug 27 2359 EST to perform the following steps:
1. Select any number of players drafted and signed by their MLB affiliate (e.g. MLB Cubs for the JBL Cubs) during the 2017 MLB First Year Player Draft and unsigned in the AMAT draft as "Franchise Fill" players. This is a great way to fill your 60 man minor league roster up to 60 players with lottery tickets. I recommend Google-ing "2017 (Team Name) Draft Selections" and going to the mlb.com link, and cross referencing signed players with the stickied Amateur Draft Archive thread in this board to find eligible players.
2. Waive minor leaguers in order to reduce the total number of unpaid minor league players in their system to 60
This means that you can replace initial minor league draft selections (from the draft at the beginning of this season), initial franchise fill players, and even 2017 AMAT draft picks with new franchise fill selections if you so choose.
Note: Draft selections from non-2017 First Year Player Drafts and International Signees are not eligible as franchise fill candidates. These are all minor league free agents, eligible for selection in this offseason's MiLFA draft.
Post your franchise fill selections and any waived minor leaguers in the Minor League Transactions forum.

There are a few Rays signed draft picks (all the latter-round guys) that aren't actually listed on Fantrax yet, I assume they wouldn't be eligible to be added since they can't literally be put on the roster?

I would suggest that we track players not yet in Fantrax via the spreadsheets with a link to their Fangraphs page. We really only need a player in Fantrax if they get called up to the MLB and an owner wants them on their 40 man roster - at which point it will be up to the owner to contact a commissioner to make the addition to the roster (if the player wasn't added to Fantrax before then)
In short, they can be added even if not yet in Fantrax

Ah good, then I can actually get up to 60 or close to it. And yes I know some spots would have to be cleared out before the next MiLB draft but that shouldn't be an issue atm lol.

Should this wait until all the AMAT picks have been added to teams? Seems like it could be a lot of shuffling and numbers being off.

I'll make an announcement when a modified due date is determined. In the meantime keeping your own spreadsheet updated with picks would be a HUUUUGE help to Alex and I as we have to process these draft selections

I would love to keep it updated but my company doesn't allow the use of Google docs/sheets. Something about no file sharing blah blah blah. Don't they know I have more important things to do like fantasy baseball.
